As an acute care nurse, I mostly see patients when they are ill.
I usually can not help them before they get to the hospital, or after they leave.
My desire with this program is to reduce acute illness. To achieve that, I aim at helping individuals create habits and design a lifestyle that they desire.
One that can also reduce their hospital visits to a scheduled checkup.
Wellness coaches help people figure out where they are, where to start, and make small changes in the right direction that grow over time.
A wellness coach also provides:
Accountability: Knowing that you have to check in with another person about your progress can give you the push you need to move forward.
Encouragement: Acts as cheerleaders to pick you up when you’re having a not-so-good day.
Unconditional support: Doesn’t judge your actions. They help you come to your own conclusions about what works and what doesn’t in reaching your goals.
Wellness Coaching appointments range from 30 to 60 minutes and are available both virtually and in-person.
You will be empowered to decide what will be discussed in your coaching session, to choose the action steps to reach your goal and to set guidelines around that step. Your coaching appointment will always be respectful, non-judgmental and confidential.
